In paradisum by Tom Porter, Commissioned by Beulah High School Concert Choir, Phillip Voeller, director, in memory of Jeremy Femling and Vander Reich. Premiered on April 16, 2013. The baritone melody on "Chorus angelorum" is staggered among voices to create an out-of-sync effect, as is the five-beat piano motive in 4/4 time. Special thanks to the Beulah School Board and Administration for funding this commission through an Innovation Grant, and to Jeremy's parents and Vander's mom who attended the premiere.
