An Interfaith Requiem, for a cappella ensemble, was composed from 2014-2015 as my Senior Honors Thesis in the music department at Tufts University. This requiem is a multi-movement, multi-cultural, interfaith work with texts in Latin, Greek, Hebrew, Arabic, Pali, English, and Russian. It is an attempt to bring together disparate religions, cultures, languages, and people through a universal emotional experience of loss, through messages of peace and an everlasting presence beyond life, and through one uniting melodic motive.
