"Requiem" is a 5 part instrumental symphony composed of strings, piano, drums, guitar and bass. It is a musical representation of the life cycle of a civilization: from oppression to revolution, revolution to recovery, recovery to empire, empire to corruption, corruption to decadence, and from decadence ultimately back to repression through invasion or revolt. Composer Stephan Laboccetta was formerly guitar player and singer for the brooklyn thrash band Verismo.
