“Misa sine nomine” is a piece for a mixed symphonic choir, a small mixed choir of twenty soloists, who act as the drama’s protagonists, four percussionists who play various percussion instruments, an organ and a speaker. The piece consists of seven parts and includes five fragments of the liturgy of the Mass: Kyrie, Gloria, Credo, Benedictus und Dona nobis pacem, all of which are sung in Latin by the symphonic choir. In contrast, “Chile”, “Ich komme” [“I’m coming”] and “Babel” are sung by the soloist choir, who accompany their own performance with Latin-American percussion instruments.
