Requiem for a Beast (2006), for string quintet, piano, harpsichord, soprano, tenor and narrator. Comprises a setting for string quartet, keyboards and soprano of an excerpt from the medieval Latin Requiem, with narrated stories and songs for tenor voice from the Bundjalung tradition of north eastern New South Wales. Requiem for a beast is both an illustrated book and a musical work. The score was written and recorded in 2006 to accompany the book, which was first published by Hachette Livre Australia in 2007
